6. N.G.S. 1 Bar. St. Domingo. James Hudson. Recipient served as Ord. Smn. aboard HMS Superb. HMS Superb
was Admiral Sir John Duckworth’s flagship when the French fleet under Admiral Leissegues, which had been
carrying stores to the island of St. Domingo, was destroyed on 6th February 1806. (NEF) £2750

8. M.G.S. 1 Bar Toulouse. Thos. Belton. Ensign 61st Foot. Promoted Lieutenant after the battle of Toulouse. (EF) £2150

9. M.G.S. 3 Bars Vittoria/Nivelle/Nive. W. Kortwright. Ensign. Coldstream Gds.
Born 1793. Enlisted 26-3-1812, paying £400 for a commission in the 68th Regt. Transferred to the Coldstream
Gds and made ensign on 26-11-1812, and posted to the 1st Bn., in the Peninsular on 1-1-1813. He returned to
England on 31-12-1813, and on 13-11-1815 was posted to France to the 2nd Bn. He transferred to the 93rd Regt.
at a cost of £600 and promoted Captain on 11-9-1817. He exchanged back to the Coldstream Gds on 6-11-1817
and was placed on half pay on 10-11-1825.
Sold with a vast amount of research, including copies of letters referring to military career, family history,
houses lived in, etc.. (NEF) £2950


Waterloo Medals

Enlisted, aged 26, on 28-12-1811 and discharged on 28-2-1819 - medically unfit. He served in Capt. Sandam’s
Company at Waterloo. Fitted with clip and replacement ring. (GVF) £1950

12. Waterloo. David Morrison. 42nd or R.H. Reg. Infantry.
Sold with copy papers which show enlisting, aged 19, as a drummer on 10-8-1802. He served in the Peninsular
and was wounded in the right elbow joint by a musket shot at Orthes. (Entitled to M.G.S. and Six Bars)
Discharged in 1826.
Sold with original parchment certificate admitting David Morrison, late of the 42nd Regiment of Foot as an
out-pensioner of Her Majesty’s Royal Hospital at Chelsea on the 17th January 1827, receiving a pension of 1/6d
per diem. 64% of unit were either killed or wounded at Waterloo. Clip and ring suspension. (GF) £3395

Chanda 19/Feb., Sultanporc 23/Feb., Siege and Capture of Lucknow 2-22/March., attack on Dowara Fort 4/March.,
action at Azimghur, and subsequent actions 11-26/Apr., and operations at Jugdespore 7/11 May. He was severely
wounded in the action at Duleepore on 11 May 1858 which resulted in his leg being amputated. Sold with copies
